PARIS – Prince Henrik of Denmark was at the Louvre on wednesday, for inaugurating the exhibition of Nicolai Abildgaard (1743-1809).

Artists thrill visiting Denmark Queen

The Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II, yesterday had a light moment with Tanzanian and Denmark artists, when inaugurating the first Danish Culture programme in Tanzania. The Queen, who is an artist, a writer, a translator and designer, was seen enjoying every moment in an art space, which she also launched.

Tanzania is presently playing host to Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Prince Consort Henrik who are paying a four-day state visit. It is indeed an honour to have the Royal Couple here, considering the friendly relations between the two countries that have existed for a period of four decades now.

The outfits are dominated by baby-blue traditional Russian dresses, cream shirts with flower motifs, golden head scarves and black Russian hats. “Working on this project has been exciting for me,” the 68-year-old monarch told The Associated Press after a news conference.”We did it the simple way, simple materials, we recycle almost everything. ” “The Little Snow Girl” is a story of an old childless Russian couple whose wish for a little daughter is granted when a snowball turns human. Their joy is short-lived as the little girl vanishes with the arrival of spring. Margrethe, a prolific graphic artist and scenographer, has previously designed costumes and sets for several plays, including adaptations of stories by fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen.

COPENHAGEN (AFP) — Denmark’s Queen Margrethe has designed the scenery and costumes for a new Christmas ballet for children based on the Russian tale “The Snow Girl”, the ballet school’s director said Tuesday.

Prince experiences trials of regular train commuters as his train is delayed

Commuters waiting for delayed trains at Odense Station yesterday may have been surprised to see the regal gentleman waiting patiently beside them.  The queen’s husband, Prince Henrik, and two of his staff were left stranded for half an hour at the station, without security personnel or police, after the royal train was late arriving, Ekstra Bladet newspaper reports.
