Their joy is short-lived as the little girl vanishes with the arrival of spring. Margrethe, a prolific graphic artist and scenographer, has previously designed costumes and sets for several plays, including adaptations of stories by fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen.

COPENHAGEN (AFP) — Denmark’s Queen Margrethe has designed the scenery and costumes for a new Christmas ballet for children based on the Russian tale “The Snow Girl”, the ballet school’s director said Tuesday.

Prince experiences trials of regular train commuters as his train is delayed
Commuters waiting for delayed trains at Odense Station yesterday may have been surprised to see the regal gentleman waiting patiently beside them. 

The queen’s husband, Prince Henrik, and two of his staff were left stranded for half an hour at the station, without security personnel or police, after the royal train was late arriving, Ekstra Bladet newspaper reports.
