The kingdom of Bhutan crowned a new monarch last week, as King Jigme Singye Wangchuck abdicated in favour of his son Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck.
Bhutan in the Himalayas is one of the most isolated countries in the world and allows only 20,000 foreigners to visit each year, under strict supervision.
Television first came to Bhutan in 1999 and the first daily newspaper began publication only this year.
