UN envoy to meet Swazi king over Zimbabwe, DRC: spokesman

MBABANE — Top UN envoy Haile Menkerios was set Thursday to discuss the political crisis in Zimbabwe with Swaziland’s king, who currently heads an African security body, a foreign ministry spokesman said.
The talks come just three days after King Mswati III led a failed effort by African leaders to rescue a faltering power-sharing deal in Zimbabwe.
