ORDER the champagne — the romance which broke the heart of Princess Michael of Kent’s lissom daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor is back on. Almost two years since Gabriella (left) announced she had broken up with her handsome Indian boyfriend Aatish Taseer, the couple are rekindling their friendship.

And far from being secretive, Gabriella and Bombay-born Aatish, both 27, were seen displaying their fondness for each other in front of hundreds of guests at interior designer Nicky Haslam’s sumptuous party for art collector Janet de Botton in London last week. ‘From their body language, there can be absolutely no doubt they are an item again,’ says a partygoer. Writer Gabriella, who recently began working for the Spanish arm of Hello! magazine, first met journalist Aatish in 2003 while on an internship at Vanity Fair magazine during her final year at Brown University, Rhode Island. He followed her back to London and they stayed together for three years. But the romance fizzled out when he returned to India having failed to persuade Gabriella to accompany him.
